HOLA HEJ CIAO
My name is Astrid, many call me Asta, some Yari.
Born and raised in Stockholm, lived in Dhaka Bangladesh between the age of 10- 15 then Malmö from 21-27. A bit in Sarnia and Los Angeles. I feel at home quickly in a lot of places and want to work internationally.
As a person/ collegue, I’m energetic and equally as serious as playful. I value curiosity, great sounds, kindness, care and am impressed and drawn to all who dare to be heartcore. I am interested in what society is as well as what else it could be. I care about social justice issues, neuance and bold statements, the uncertain, desires and care in comunity. I am nerdy with sound & am learning all the time. I strongly believe in the power of art and the power of the people. I hope to grow super old. I am learning spanish and think I should live in Mexico soon.
I did two interneships 2025 during my education at Stockholm University of the Arts- one with the legendary theatre company Motus who I got to work alongside for two months in Italy as they created Frankenstein: A History of Hate. My second internship was at the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden “Dramaten” whare I did the sound design and the music composition for the play Nemesis directed by Helle Rossing. I was very influenced by both of theses projects and feel fortunate to have contibuted to such great projects. I have during my studies gotten a close working relationship with director Juliann Lousie Larsen and as you see in my portfolio often work with her.
My manifest. Presence is difficult but full of potential. Through art, I want to help both myself and others to approach themselves-, the world around them and other people, with more curiosity and care. I am a romantic and one of my life goals is to keep my heart and mind open, to ask questions before I assume and share the love I have for living through my art.
I want to work togeher with heartcore creatives and sharp minds from other fields. Hit me up, let’s work. I work very hard and feel fortunate to be able to do what I do.

Electronic music mixed with organic samples & often the human voice. I write and serve as a dramutug- eye in many creative projects. Passionate about storytelling, evoking emotion and facilitating precence. A great recording is like a great tiramisu, such a joy.
